Fixed Mindset vs. Growth Mindset

So I am reading this amazing book about mindset and the power of our thoughts of ourselves for professional development training at the school where I work. Let's just say.."mind. blown" I have always subscribed to the belief that the mind is incredibly powerful and that it influences how we walk through life. But this book really breaks it down. I am still reading but will blog more once I'm finished.

Sistah Sestra...what does it mean?

I am a GINORMOUS Orphan Black fan. If you have not seen it, stop reading this blog right now and do one of these things:

So back to the point of this blog entry...why Sistah Sestra. Okay...one of the clones on Orphan Black-Helena--is Ukranian. She refers to her sister clones (and Felix!) as "sistra," the English spelling of the Ukranian word "Сестра" (sister)

I am African American and at times, affectionately refer to myself as a "sistah" One night I was watching OB and thought..."Sistah Sestra" and the nickname was born :-) I even designed a t-shirt...want one?
